What we do
Building a computerised collection of photographic evidence of past events,
celebrations, industries, education, societies, churches, groups and individuals
Collating a computerised record of documents relating to our local history .
Recording the verbal memories of older residents of Haltwhistle and district .
Recording the vanishing dialect of this area
Creating a web site containing the above information .
Creating computerised presentational materials ( which can be used
to inform schools, groups and societies, etc; aid tourism and local historical research;
Stimulate the memories of older residents;
Form a focal point for accessing local history within the community).
